This Plasma Rifle seems to have a slightly different build to the original experimental version, more based on original concept art for the Volterite Railgun. It also shoots red plasma instead of green plasma. Between the events of N.O.V.A. 2 and 3 the Human-Volterite Alliance seems to have made these tweaks for the final product, as that which Kal took in N.O.V.A. 2 was but a prototype from the experimental weapons testing area in the Nimbus scientific base. This is more likely to be the finished product. It can be bought in the store in the campaign.This gun's ammo is a red coloured mineral and cannot be found in-game, only available through the instant ammo refill in the military shop when pausing the game.
In Multiplayer Mode, it is usually however inaccurate and a bad choice, but it is deadly when it comes to damage. Aim assist can interfere when using this weapon in strafe battles, but is very deadly if the opponent is not moving lateral to you.
